Augustine was born and dumped in a gutter at the clay factory, a displacement camp. His parents are unknown. A policeman from the camp took Augustine to the orphanage, where he was named Augustine because he was said to have been born in August. His surname is attributed to the story of Moses in the Bible. Augustine was the very first child who was brought to Pastor Hassan, and the start of the inspired story of the Wellington Orphanage.
