When R.U.F. rebels attacked his village, Alie was kidnapped and taken to the rebels northern base in the Kangari hills. Alie and a number of children were later rescued by local militiamen who took them to the orphanage in Freetown. His parents cannot be found. Alie is a quiet kid, but he doesn't hide out. He's always around with the other boys. He just prefers to be more in the background listening while others carry on the conversation. When he does speak to you, his personality is very genuine.
